What is Warhammer: The Old World?

The Old World is Games Workshop's return to the Warhammer Fantasy setting they retired in 2015: rank-and-file regiments on movement trays, cavalry, war machines and monsters, fought as an army rather than a skirmish. Forces are built to a points value, and a typical one runs to several regiments of ten to twenty models each.

It is not Age of Sigmar with square bases. Different rules, a different range, and a different shape of army — though a fair number of the old Fantasy kits made the trip across and are sold again under Old World packaging.

What does an Old World army cost?

More than a skirmish force, because the unit of purchase is a regiment rather than a squad. That is what makes the battalion boxes worth checking first: they bundle the core of an army at a discount, and where we can price both the box and its contents separately we show the difference rather than asserting one.

Every figure on this page is what a shop was charging when we last checked it, in the market you are browsing. We do not quote a manufacturer RRP as if it were a price you can pay.

Prices were last checked 4 Sep and can change — the retailer's own page always has the final say. Affiliate links — how we make money.
