Art White and Art Black bracket four tinted neutrals: Pearl Grey, Violet Grey, Green Grey and the warm Buff. The tints are the point - flat neutral grey looks lifeless on a model, and these each lean subtly warm, violet or green.
It's the kind of selection a display painter reaches for constantly: greatcoats, stone, weathered metal NMM, and desaturating other colours on the palette.
Best for: greatcoats, stonework and monochrome schemes needing greys with temperature in them.
