• •UK standard delivery is free on orders over £50 and starts at £3 below that, priced on the parcel's size and weight.
• •Next-day delivery is £3.50 under £50, £2.50 between £50 and £100, and free over £100, subject to their cut-off and to size.
• •Those rates cover UK mainland addresses. The Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isles of Scilly and the Isle of Man are priced by postcode band and take longer — Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands, 3 to 6 working days.
• •International postage is calculated at checkout rather than set against a threshold, with a sliding discount off the calculated rate: £5 off over £50, £7.50 off over £75, £10 off over £100 and £20 off over £200. Those figures are stated in sterling whatever currency the order is placed in.
• •They cannot send flammable or hazardous liquids or aerosols by airmail, which covers a good deal of what a painter buys; some can travel by road to European destinations for an additional charge.
• •They ship from a US warehouse in Maine as well as the UK one. A Maine order carries no import duty and is charged US sales tax; a UK-dispatched order has the duty included in the selling price, so nothing is owed on arrival.
• •EU orders up to €150 carry VAT plus a reduced duty they subsidise to €1.50 per commodity code, included in the shipping charge; above €150 the courier acts as import agent and the charges are folded into the shipping cost. Their IOSS number is IM2500000874.
• •A Canadian order over CAD 20 attracts 5% import tax payable to Canadian customs.
