Ossiarch Bonereapers
4 box sets · 23 kits we track
Undead legions built to order from harvested bone - disciplined, uniform and utterly unlike any other death army.
The Ossiarchs are not raised, they are manufactured. Nagash's bone-tithe collects skeletal material from the living and his artisans sculpt it into soldiers, which is why they march in step where other undead shamble. Mortek Guard phalanxes, cavalry and constructs make up the force. Visually they are ivory and dark metal with strong Egyptian and Greek influences, and they are one of the cleanest armies in Age of Sigmar to paint. Bone takes a shade-and-highlight approach very well, and the repeated geometric detail suits batch painting. If you want an undead army that looks precise and monumental rather than rotten, this is the one.
On the table: Elite, resilient infantry that holds formation - slow, disciplined and much tougher than skeletons have any right to be.
