Mercenary duardin who fight nearly naked, hunting fragments of their dead god's gold to hammer into their own skin.
The Fyreslayers are duardin stripped back to a single obsession: recovering ur-gold and wearing it. The army is almost entirely close-combat infantry - axe-wielding Vulkite and Hearthguard warriors, priests, and a few magma-beast riders - with crested orange hair as the unmistakable signature. They are unusual in that skin, not armour, is most of the model. That makes them a great army for practising flesh, and a genuinely quick one to paint if you accept a straightforward approach: base skin, shade, orange hair, bronze and gold. Small unit counts and simple silhouettes mean a Fyreslayer force reaches a finished table standard faster than most.
On the table: Tough, slow, close-combat infantry that soaks damage and grinds through what it reaches.
