Black Powder Napoleonic Wars

6 box sets · 61 kits we track

The 1803-1815 wars against Napoleon's France, the single most popular period in Black Powder and the deepest range on this page.

The Napoleonic Wars are Black Powder's flagship period: France under Napoleon against Britain, Prussia, Austria, Russia and a shifting cast of allies, fought across the whole of Europe from Spain to Russia. It's by far the best-supported period here, with dozens of kits from Perry, Victrix, Warlord and others covering nearly every nation and arm that took the field. The sheer number of figures is the defining fact of collecting this period - a single infantry battalion is commonly forty-plus models, and a proper army fields several of them alongside cavalry and artillery. That scale is why national uniform colours matter so much here: French blue, British red, Prussian dark blue and Austrian white each let you batch-paint a whole regiment in one pass, with facing colours, lace and the odd regimental flag doing the work of telling one unit from the next.

On the table: Large-scale line-and-column battles with cavalry and artillery in support, the most tactically developed and best-supported of Black Powder's periods.

Shop prices below are in your market's currency. The £ per model figure that ranks these boxes is UK sterling — it compares them against each other, not against what you would pay locally.
