Ancients and medieval, every maker, priced
Hail Caesar Miniatures
Hail Caesar is Warlord Games' rules for battles of the ancient and medieval world, from Bronze Age chariots to knights on horseback, fought in 28mm with large units rather than a skirmish handful. It shares its big-battle mechanics with Warlord's Black Powder (centuries later) and Pike & Shotte (the era between), and like both of them it's written for anyone's figures rather than one maker's range. Below is every kit we can price for it, filed by era so a buyer planning an army sees every maker at once.
Eras
Each page lists every kit and box we can price for that era, cheapest shop first.
The greyed names have no page yet — an army gets one once we can price a box of it or five of its kits, so the list fills in with the catalogue rather than by hand.
Perry Miniatures make 9 of the kits and boxes on this page. Every Perry Miniatures kit, by period, compared →
Divisions, armies and boxed sets

What is Hail Caesar?
Hail Caesar is Warlord Games' rules for the ancient and medieval world: Rome, Carthage, the Dark Ages and the Middle Ages, fought in 28mm with blocks of infantry and cavalry rather than a handful of heroes. Like the other Warlord historical rules it does not ask for any one maker's figures, and the plastic ranges most players build from come from several companies.
So this page is filed by era rather than by maker. A Victrix Roman legion, a Gripping Beast Dark Age warband and a Fireforge medieval knight each sit under their own era with every other maker who covers it.
Starting an army
A Hail Caesar army usually starts from one or two boxed infantry units, built out with cavalry and characters as the points allow. Where an era has an Epic Battles range, a single starter box fields a smaller-scale division in one purchase rather than building it unit by unit.
What we list, and from where
Every kit here is one a shop we compare actually sells, at the price that shop was charging when we last checked it — never a manufacturer's list price shown as an offer.
An era with nothing priced yet shows as a grey name in the strip above rather than an empty page.
Prices were last checked 25 Sep and can change — the retailer's own page always has the final say. Affiliate links — how we make money.
