Wet Palettes
A wet palette keeps acrylic workable for hours instead of minutes by sitting it on damp paper over a sponge, and it is the single upgrade most painters say changed their blending. The buying decision is not really the palette — most are a sealed box, a sponge and a sheet — it is the refills, which are a repeat purchase with a real price spread and a compatibility trap: sheet sizes are not interchangeable between makers.
The Honest Verdict
Almost any sealed palette works; what separates them is how well the lid seals overnight and whether the maker sells refill paper you can actually get hold of. Buy the palette on seal quality and the refills on price per sheet, and check the sheet size before ordering a pack that will not fit.
