Vallejo's sixteen-colour Model Color foundation box: Black and White, strong primaries in Lemon Yellow, Flat Red and Flat Blue, secondaries including Flat Green and Purple, Flat Flesh and Buff for skin and cloth, Yellow Ochre and Flat Brown for earth, Azure, a transparent Clear Orange, and Gold and Silver.
Model Color is the general-purpose 17ml dropper-bottle range that much of the hobby standardises on - matte finish, brushes smoothly, mixes predictably.
Best for: a first Model Color collection that can be mixed into nearly anything.
