The weakest editorial field of the ten shelves surveyed — the results are marketplaces and makers, with barely a comparison page among them. The buying question is dull and entirely practical: pot or dropper, how many, and does the rack stack or hang. Citadel pots and Vallejo-style dropper bottles are different diameters and different heights, and a rack built for one holds the other badly or not at all.

The Honest Verdict

Count your pots, then buy for roughly half again — every painter underestimates. Modular systems cost more per slot but survive the collection growing; a fixed rack is cheaper and is the right answer if you know the collection has stopped.
