Works out at £2.40 per paint.

Sixteen Model Color paints selected for the American War of Independence: Scarlet and Carmine Red for British coats, Prussian Blue for Continental uniforms, Buff, Leather Brown and Mahogany for belts and breeches, a skin tone, two greens for jaeger and militia dress, and Gold and Silver for buttons and braid. A gloss varnish rounds out the sixteen.

Model Color is Vallejo's standard 17ml dropper-bottle range - matte, well-behaved off the brush, and the default choice for a lot of historical figure painters.

At £2.40 per bottle with 20% off, it's a cheap way into a whole period.

Best for: historical painters building redcoat and Continental forces for the AWI.
