Slaanesh's traitor legion - vain, drug-fuelled Space Marines who have turned war into performance.

The Third Legion fell to excess, and they wear it: purple and gold armour, sonic weapons, ornamental blades and a lot of gilded posturing. Noise Marines, Flawless Blades and their exalted champions lead warbands who fight for the sensation of it. The colour scheme is the whole draw and the whole difficulty. Purple over gold looks superb and both are awkward colours to get even, so most collectors settle their purple recipe on a test model before committing. In return you get one of the most immediately recognisable armies on any table, and a range with far more decorative detail than the average marine kit - which means somewhere to put your best brushwork.

On the table: Fast, aggressive elite infantry that wants to strike first and duel, rather than hold a line.
